This term in our history topic we have been finding out about castles. We discovered how the different features of castles each play an important role in defending it from attackers.
To show our understanding, we worked together in our colour table teams to build our own castle models out of cardboard boxes. Then painted them a perfect 'castle grey'.

Welcome to Class 2
We have had a fantastic start to our new year with lots of exciting events and classroom activities. Our new topic 'Wonderful Weather' launched successfully with a marvelous Mad Scientist visit. We were certainly amazed by the bottle tornadoes! Take a look at our photos from the day in our school Gallery.
Class Two Blue Planet
This week we have been finding out about Blue Whales linked to our class story book 'The Storm Whale'. We researched facts about these huge animals using laptops, books and fact sheets before writing our own descriptions.
We then recorded our own 'David Attenborough' inspired Blue Planet documentaries using IMovie on the IPads. Some fabulous ICT skills later and we were able to produce some amazing videos.

We have been exploring nature and how we can use natural resources to make creative art pieces and structures.
Take a peek at our new classroom friends...
This week we collected twigs and autumnal pieces from our school field. We used thread and wool to carefully weave them together to create our very own frames.
Our new role play area has caused quite the stir...who knew we had such fabulous news and weather reporters!
