This term, our project is called...

With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility

This is our discover (history-based) project focusing on ancient Egypt. Our key concepts for this term are: Power, Wealth and Influence.

So far, we have been finding out about when the ancient Egyptians ruled, how ancient Egyptian society was structured and how the pharaoh had power over everything. 

We have also conducted our own research about different pharaohs and created fact files. 

In English, our class text is Billionaire Boy by David Walliams. In this story, the main character (Joe Spud) learns that great wealth isn't always a good thing. 

We have looked at persuasive writing in the form of advertising and we have created our own posters to advertise Bumfresh Toilet Paper, which Joe's dad invented. 

In Science, Year 3 are learning about Rocks and Soils, whilst our Year 4 pupils have been learning about Electricity. 

Year 3 have been sorting and classifying rocks according to their properties. Year 4 have been making circuits and designing electricity safety posters. 

In our Computing lessons, we have been exploring digital devices and how they work using inputs, processes and outputs. We had to sort devices and explain what function each part had and we got to design our own digital devices.
