Pond Clearing Day

Many thanks to all of the wonderful parents (and grandparents) that came in to help our Eco Warriors, Wildlife Assistants and Head Girl, clean our pond. Many thanks also to Mrs King and Mrs Hine for supervising the morning activities.

The two frogs we found seem happy with their clean and tidy habitat. We  now need to add some big rocks for basking newts and add some old broken tiles to our bug hotel. Donations gratefully received.

We also managed to clear a lot of the wildlife area so that it is much easier to access. We also made a hedgehog leaf pile, log pile and new bug hotel!

Guide Dogs Association

On Monday 18th September Phil Lee from the Guide Dogs Association visited our school with his dog Nan. He told us all about living with poor site and how having a guide dog has changed his life.

It costs £55,000 to breed, train and keep a guide dog for life.

There are currently around 5000 working Guide Dogs in Britain, but many more are needed.
