Welcome to Autumn term in Maple Class 2023-2024. This year the class is made of of both year 5 and year 6 children.
The Autumn term project 'With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility' has a historical theme based based around the ancient Egyptians. Our key concepts that accompany this project are: wealth, power and influence.
In English, our class book for this term is Holes by Louis Sachar. The book focuses on the main character, Stanley Yelnats, who is sent to Camp Green Lake, a correctional boot camp in a desert in Texas, after being falsely accused of theft. The book explores the history of the area and how the actions of several characters in the past have affected Stanley's life in the present.
