Covid Isolation Update

There has yet to be an update to the DfE schools’ guidance but we can share the national guidance that has been released today.

From Monday 17 January, people self-isolating with COVID-19 will have the option to reduce their isolation period after 5 full days if they test negative on both day 5 and day 6 and do not have a temperature.

Under the guidance that comes into effect on Monday 17 January, it is a requirement to self-isolate for 5 full days, therefore people cannot leave isolation on Day 5 but they can on Day 6 (following two negative tests, taken 24 hours apart)
