Here are answers to some frequently asked questions re tomorrow

What are the timings for pupils?
KS1 – 8.40am to 3.10pm – FRONT GATE
KS2 – 8.40am to 3.15pm – BACK GATE
The gates remain open for 10 minutes at the start & end of the day. Please try to stick to timings, as the office will not always be help due to staffing restrictions.
What will my child eat?
If your child has pre booked a school dinner for 5th Jan they will receive it otherwise please bring a packed lunch in.
Do they wear school uniform?
Yes school uniform should be worn. No PE kit required.
Will the home learning go beyond 5th Jan?
We do not yet know. Essex County Council are in current discussions with the Government.
We are aware some Colchester, Tendring & Uttlesford Primary schools are advising they will be closed until 18th January as with the secondary schools, but this has not yet been clarified by ECC. Until we have had official notification we cannot comment.
Which teachers will be in?
As before, staff will be on a rota. Tomorrow for the KS1 group children will be taught by Miss Greed & Mr Hawes. For KS2 group, children will be taught by Mrs Welsh.
If the situation continues, do children have to attend all week?
No, children can attend as required. If you only require certain days to support with childcare for key worker purposes, then you can book for those days alone.
Previously schools were told to try social distancing and so we had to limit number of pupils in a classroom. Now the guidance has changed and we are not expected to have to keep 2m apart in primary schools. This means we are able to have more pupils, so spaces do not need to be taken up full time to ensure a place.
