Uniform Information

The wearing of school uniform plays a vital role in contributing to the ethos of Holy Trinity. It helps to inspire pride in the school, support positive behaviour and discipline, and helps support effective teaching and learning. The school insists upon the wearing of school uniform.

General requirements

 Examples of required style and colours are available in the school office.

 ‘Plain’ is defined as no fashion embellishments, no contrasting colours, stripes or markings, no advertisements or brand logos.

 Parents should take care to ensure that all fastenings enable their child to dress and undress independently

 Children are expected to be smartly presented during the course of the day and to take pride in their appearance at all times.

 All items of clothing must be clearly marked with the child’s name.

 The school prohibits the use of make-up, nail varnish and the wearing of jewellery including earrings with the exception of small stud earrings which will need to be removed by the child for PE activities. A small watch may be worn.

 All children with long hair must have it tied back. No vibrant hair colouring, cut in motifs or patterns to hair styles or gel sculptured hair styles are permitted. All hair accessories must be plain and either red, charcoal grey, or red and white checked in colour.

 Adhering to the school uniform policy is compulsory.

 Any child unsuitably presented will need to be collected and properly attired prior to being readmitted to school. The school reserves the right to temporarily exclude pupils who persistently do not comply with the stipulated dress code.

 The Headteacher will be pleased to discuss with parents any aspect of this policy including exceptions on medical or religious grounds. 


Basic School Uniform

Dark grey or black school trousers or tailored shorts

Grey skirt or pinafore dress

Red and white gingham or striped dress

White polo shirt

Official red sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo

Black school shoes, low heeled with no lights or other distractions (No trainers or boots)

Black, white or grey socks or tights.

All children must bring an official school book bag to school each day. (First one provided by the PTA)

Red school cap with logo

School water bottle (First one provided by the PTA)

P.E Kit

Black shorts, White or House colour T-shirt (a separate T-shirt must be provided for P.E)

White socks

Children do indoor P.E in bare feet unless they have verrucae or athlete’s foot.

Plimsolls or trainers for outdoor P.E.

Blue or black tracksuit for cold weather

Any earrings must be removed by the child themselves for P.E lessons

All P.E kit should be stored in a P.E bag 


All items of uniform should be clearly named.
